Resale rights are the easiest way to make money with ebooks, as the hard work has already been done for you. You don’t need to spend loads of time writing the ebook and preparing the sales page and graphics. All you have to do is purchase the ebook and the resale rights to that ebook, load it up on your website or elsewhere to resell the ebook and you are in business - your own home based ebook business.

Now the first thing you have to understand is not all ebooks come with the same rights. There are basically five different types of resale rights. Each decides what you are allowed to do with the ebook.

1. Basic Resale Rights.

This gives you the right to resell the product but the customer does not have the right to resell it. You keep 100% of the profits.

2. Master Resale Rights.

You have the right to resell the product and to resell the basic resale rights to the product. The customer that has purchased basic resale rights can then sell the product for profit.

3. Private Label Rights.

This is the holy grail of resell rights. When you purchase private label rights, you can make any changes that you want, put your own name on it, sell it for profit or sell basic or master resale rights to the product.

4. Give away rights.

This means you can give away the product for free but you cannot edit it or resell it.

5. Royalty rights.

This means you have to pay the original owner or author a percentage of every sale made.
